Under the skilled guidance of rider Dolly DeCair, Karahty achieved 30 wins and 21 Best Condition awards, completing 54 out of 55 races—a testament to his exceptional consistency and resilience. Okba, a 1983 Tunisian-bred Arabian stallion, boasts an impressive racing career that spans multiple countries. In Tunisia, he achieved a remarkable record of 10 starts with 9 wins and 1 second-place finish. Following his success there, Okba competed in Oman, where he secured 1 win out of 4 starts. His racing prowess culminated at the 1987 World Championships for Purebred Arabians in Évry, France, where he finished a commendable fourth against elite competitors.

After his international racing career, Okba was imported to the United States by Stephen Hollis. In the U.S., he sired 37 foals, many of whom excelled in racing and endurance disciplines. Notably, his offspring have topped race winner charts over the past decade, demonstrating the enduring quality of his lineage.

Okba's pedigree is rooted in Algerian and Tunisian bloodlines, primarily from the Sidi Thabet Government Stud. His lineage includes significant desert-bred ancestors, such as Dynamite II and Tamerlan, reflecting the rich heritage of North African Arabian horses.
